How much mulch do I need?

By measuring the area to be mulched, (length x width = square feet), you can easily convert to the number of bags required to get the job done from the chart below: It is recommended that mulch be applied at three (3) inches high in order to reduce weed growth and maintain moister retention. However, if you wish to apply less, the chart will help you to determine the number of bags for 2” deep.
